Pricing One Trailer
In the dialog below, the user can edit and price one trailer:
Pricing can be done in several ways.
The price new can be specified using either a manually entered price, or using the
program's "Price As" function, for some trailer types. (In this example, the user has
specified that a utility trailer be priced as a boat trailer.)
If using the "Price As" function, you can specify whether the price is determined by
the capacity, length, or gross weight. The value calculated will rely on a corresponding field.
In this sample, the capacity (gross weight minus light weight)
has been entered, but the Purchase Price is being used.
The DOT/NHTSA button queries the NHTSA web site and takes you to a screen showing some fields that the
manufacturer reported. This may assist you with filling in some missing data. Using this feature requires access
to the Internet.
